Maltese x Poodle (Toy)
3 years old - Long coat - Male

Good with kids

Sully is a 3 year old Malti-Poo. He has a nonshedding coat that is an option for those who have allergies or simply want a dog who doesn't shed. He will require regular grooming. We will be looking for a home that has a grooming plan for our little guy. Sully is an owner surrender to our rescue.

Sully is housetrained. When his foster family leaves, they leave him out all day. He does well. He plays with visiting nieces and nephews for hours and when it's time to go he always wants to go back and play some more with them. His foster home states he is their favorite foster dog that they've ever fostered. That's huge praise for this guy...

Here's a video of Sully playing fetch:

Sully is very sweet and loving but needs an experienced home that won't "spoil" him but rather have rules, boundaries and make sure that Sully will follow them. His foster mom will make him earn his meals like sitting and waiting first. She will make him go to his spot(bed) when someone comes to the door or when someone is leaving. He is never allowed to charge the door. If he gets rambunctious he is told to go to his crate which he willingly does and goes right in. His current foster mom is very loving but still strict and Sully flourishes. He has so much personality. He loves to go on walks. He definitely needs exercise. He absolutely exemplifies, "A tired dog is a good dog." When he's had enough exercise he really is very relaxed and calm in the home. He is not a dog to take anywhere and everywhere. He's a dog who does well at home. He's a dog who needs routine and consistency.

Sully needs to be the only dog. He isn't a dog who does well with other dogs. He does best at home by himself and with his human family. He is an ideal option for a home that only wants one dog and who is experienced and enjoys the company of a loving, sweet dog who does well with rules.

Sully is only an option for an experienced home and all members of the family have to be confident around dogs. If there are kids they need to be at least 10 years old.
