Dachshund x Rat Terrier
1-2 years old - Short coat - Male

Ripley is a 1-2 year old Dachshund mix who we rescued from the shelter. He came right up to us and hopped out of his cage and into our arms with no fear. What a cute face... and those HUGE ears! His foster home has nothing but good things to say about this little guy! They report that Ripley took no time to adapt to a new walking, eating, and playing routine in their home. Ripley is not a barker and while he hasn't shown much interest in chasing balls, he's a big fan of stuffed animals. So far he has not had any accidents in his foster home- what a good boy! Ripley is crate-trained as well.

Ripley is an option to go to a home with other dogs or to be a one and only pup. He's generally very good-natured and gets along with people and dogs alike. Ripley may be an option for a first time dog owner who shows that they've done their research and are prepared to bring a pup into their home. He is an option for children over the age of 7.

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
