Benny

West Highland White Terrier Westie x Silky Terrier
2 1/2 years old - Long coat - Male

Benny is a 2 1/2 year old Westie mix who weighs about 11lbs. He has a nonshedding coat. It's more of a Silky Terrier than a Westie type of coat. He will require some modecum of grooming though not the extent that most Westie's or even Silky's do. The second picture shows the length of his coat at his longest. The other pictures show him as groomed.

Benny is absolutely the sweetest dog with humans. He loves them. He is the first to meet and greet and to curl up on someone's lap. He just is a cuddler and a snuggler. His one flaw and the reason he is now in our rescue is that he doesn't care for cats. He was found by a wonderful woman and she tried for six months to make it work with her cats, chickens, etc. But in the end Benny needs a cat and chicken-less home! But he's awesome with people and dogs. He is currently in a foster home with other dogs. He does just fine. He also came into the rescue with another dog that he had previously lived with.

Benny could be an option to go to work with Mom or Dad. He would be someone who would love to hang out with them in their office. He's an option to live in an apartment or condo. He's not a big barker. He needs a home that is committed to crate training.

If there are kids in the home they need to be over the age of 8.

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
